Do ‘the kids’ really use all these acronyms?   The article raises more questions than answers, not the least of which is – what the hell was number 15?

Tanzwut

Even better than listening to Tanzwut is reading the entry about them on Wikipedia: it is straight from the file marked couldn’t-make-it-up.

Covered in glory

March 27th, 2009 · 3 Comments · Music

I may have mentioned it before, but I do like a good cover version.  I also like a bad one.  Most of all, I like an unlikely cover version and delving into the recesses of Spotify I have found some crackers – combinations that you could hardly make up.

Two thousand??

March 4th, 2009 · 3 Comments · Life

I am finding this story hard to believe.  I am not saying that I think it is not true – I do not know enough about truck specifications have a qualified opinion – just that it is hard to believe, in the same way that it is hard to believe that something the size of […]

At work we have TV screens in the corridors outside the lifts.  They display company news and information most of the time, and sometimes they show the BBC news.  In the afternoon they also show traffic maps, but throughout all of this there is a ticker at the bottom with headlines from the BBC’s news […]

Lennon’s on sale again

January 19th, 2009 · Comments Off on Lennon’s on sale again · Life

There was a John Lennon CD given away free with the Mail on Sunday today.  Apparently, if you turn the volume right up you can just about hear the sound of him spinning in his grave.

Party in Session

December 10th, 2008 · 1 Comment · Life, Work

We are well into the Christmas party season now.  Last week Jayne was out at various functions for four nights in a row.  One was my company’s annual do.   Being the sort of miserable bastard who doesn’t really like Christmas much I normally avoid company parties, but after hearing tales of how lavish they are […]
