One downside of going out today was that I did not get to see the football results until way after the final whistle, and missed seeing the highlights on Match of the Day, on the day that the Hammers finally came up with a decent result in the league and annihilated Paul Ince’s Blackburn Rovers.
The other downside was finding that MOTD was not available on the BBC’s iPlayer. Sounds like it was a cracker of a game, and Robert Green is back into his old habit of saving penalties – three saved last season and one already this season. Something to bear in mind for the next World Cup finals…
Naturally I take no pleasure at all in the fact that West Ham are currently in the top four (until after tomorrow’s games) while Spurs are the only team in the Premier League without a single point – and not likely to change that tomorrow when they visit Stamford Bridge. Well OK, maybe I am permitting myself a small celebration when Jayne isn’t looking 🙂
