I upgraded to WordPress 2.6 overnight.  All my little customisations seem to have survived, but if anybody spots anything acting strange let me know: I haven’t been totally exhaustive in my testing.Â

Something really strange happened here yesterday. I was halfway through posting about our afternoon of throwing £72,000 cars around Surrey, and WordPress just stopped working properly. Somehow I became logged out, and then I couldn’t log back in again.

The comprehensive lack of apparent activity here for four days is not because my technical problems are persisting: it’s because they have gone away. “Gone away” does not mean “fixed” though it just means ‘gone away’ as in ‘popped out to the shops but might be back soon’.
Redecorating…

For some reason WordPress was stuffing the CPU on the server. Again. So… I have upgraded to the latest release of WordPress, upgraded all the plugins (but disabled them for now, except for Akismet), and reverted to the default template. I’ll see how this goes and then start re-introducing plugins.
