Dentists

August 31st, 2004 · Posted by Skuds in Life · No Comments · Life

It was only the other day I was bitching about my teeth and about the availability of dentists generally. On Monday I was up at the local shops and noticed a sign which said that the Broadfield dental practice is re-opening under new management.

I just confirmed this by checking the NHS Direct website and saw that not only is it opening and registering new patients of all types, but there are now another 3 dentists in Crawley accepting new charge-paying NHS patients. A few others are accepting charge exempt NHS patients.

When I looked a few months ago there was not a single practise accepting new NHS patients of any sort, so things are certainly getting better. Not that you would notice it from the local newspapers: they love printing anything which reflects poorly on the Labour council or government, but are extremely reluctant to print any good news.
