Crawley Town managed to climb a place in the league table on Sunday without doing a thing! Aldershot had been on the same points and goal difference, so when they lost to Hereford they dropped a place.
So now Crawley Town are in 3rd place, only one point behind 2nd-place Carlisle. Actually its not quite as good as it sounds, because Carlisle have two games in hand and could easily widen the gap, and there are 5 teams below with games in hand who would overtake Crawley if they won those games, but even so, being so near the top when the season is more than halfway through is pretty good going for a newly-promoted team.
