Snowbound

February 21st, 2005 · Posted by Skuds in Life · No Comments · Life

What a good day for Crawley, and especially Broadfield! I doubt if broadfield has ever been mentioned so many times on TV in one day, even if it was only Sky Sports.

Crawley Town played their first ever match to be televised live this evening. They put on a good show, won 2-1 and moved back up to 2nd in the league table. Its still a precarious position, as 9 teams below us have games in hand and would go above us if they won those games, but its still a good place to be for a newly-promoted team of part-timers. Crawley now have best home record in the league by quite a margin.

The pitch started green, but during the first half it started to snow. By half time the ball had been swapped for an orange one, and by the end it looked like a full blizzard.

Jayne and the kids like the snow. I just see it as giving Southern railways another excuse to screw me over on my daily commute! I had a terrible journey this morning, but now expect tomorrow to be even worse.
