The story of Bruno the bear came to a sad end yesterday, but just pause for a moment to consider two facts from the story:
The statement was made by Manfred Wölfl, “the Bavarian government’s bear specialist”
Bruno was the first bear to wander into Germany for 170 years.

Hats off to Luis Aragonés for a public statement of Cantona-esque weirdness. In a new twist on the old “some of my best friends are gay/black/Jewish” line, he said that he had:
black, Gypsy and Japanese friends, including one whose job is to determine the sex of poultry
in response to the old charge of racism.

Anything I write here is my own opinion and is not endorsed by my employers, the Labour party (nationally or locally), my family, the cat, the other cat, West Ham United FC or anyone else - and especially not AN Hosting. Its just a personal blog, in other words: Promoted and published by me on behalf of me (yes its all me, me, me. Vanity publishing at its worst) although I'm not particularly promoting anything, just describing and generally rambling for my own entertainment, but the whole Internet thing is such a grey area you have to be on the safe side don't you? There is always going to be some idiot who takes it all seriously. No names - you know who you are. Not that anyone reads all this stuff at the bottom anyway, not when there is more exciting stuff to do like watching paint dry...
...and the same goes for anything the sister writes here, not that she is writing much: come on Jane - pull your finger out!
