I got a postcard the other day about a concert up in London next week. Spizzenergi are playing at the Luminaire, 311 Kilburn High Road. The angle for this one (Spizz always likes to have an angle) is the whole climate change thing.
The postcard states that Spizzenergi are "greener than Sting, Phil Collins, U2, Madonna, Michael Jackson & Pink Floyd". I'm pretty sure he had his tongue firmly in cheek while writing that, although strictly speaking it must be true – I don't think the Spizzenergi tours rack up the air miles of that lot…
Mind you, its worth remembering that Spizzenergi have been doing songs about green issues for since long before it was fashionable – and wasn't the original bassist called Jim Solar after solar power?
Anyway, despite the green angle expect the show to be very much the same as usual – and thats a good thing! Anyone wondering what to do in North London next week could do a lot worse than popping along to the Luminaire.
