Today we either had an early Christmas dinner or a day-late Thanksgiving dinner. We went up to Essex to visit my sister for lunch and she was kind enough to cook turkey.
I like turkey, but we never have it at home. For Christmas we usually have beef and pork.
The afternoon was a bit fraught as my brother-in-law is an absolutely devoted West Ham supporter, Jayne and the kids are Spurs fans and the two teams were playing today. David subscribes to a service where he gets text messages throughout all West Ham games, which is going to make him prematurely old I think.
In the end it was a one-all draw after Green saved an injury time penalty so a major diplomatic incident was narrowly avoided.
