This evening I watched last night’s Paul McCartney concert that I had recorded.   What a fantastic example of a local boy returning home triumphantly, although he’s hardly a boy these days obviously.  I felt quite emotional watching it here, so I can’t imagine how scousers seeing it live in Liverpool must have felt.

The show was about 75% the same as the concert DVD I have from a few years ago, but the atmosphere was miles better.   Nice to see him sticking with the same band for a while, especially the drummer who is so big he looks like he is playing a toy kit.  Not sure the performance really needed Dave Grohl, though he is always a welcome sight – and how many guests will come on and play guitar and drums?
