I do not normally take part in these memes that go flying around. Partly because I rarely get tagged, or do not notice when I do, but mainly because I can’t think of a non-lame response. I have decided to make an exception to this one from Jo. It is a photographic one, which makes a change.
The rules are:
- Go to your pictures file
- Go to the 4th file
- Go to the 4th picture
- Post it and tell the story
- Tag 4 more people
I was interested because I had no idea what photo would pop up – with the balance of probability pointing towards a still-life study of a shopping trolley or something like that, but the 4th photo in the 4th folder turned out to be a lot more poignant than that.
Here it is. This is our grandson, Alfie, when he was a few months old. He was visiting with his mother (Jayne’s oldest daughter) from Hastings and I took a day off work so we could all go up and visit my father in Letchworth and introduce him to his great-grandson.
This picture was taken in Dad’s house during the visit on a Monday afternoon. On Tuesday night Dad died of a heart attack and was found the next morning.
Since then, Jayne and Ami have had a little bit of a falling out and are not talking to each other, so we haven’t seen Ami or Alfie since I don’t know when – possibly last Christmas.
I will have to break rule 5 because I can’t think of 4 others who would really appreciate it (MrWongablog having already been tagged by Jo) although if Jams fancies a go I’ll be interested in the results…

Can I retrospectively tag Paris Hilton, Pamela Anderson and Max Mosely. I’m sure they have some photos on their computers with a story behind them…
…Gary Glitter need not bother.
