Last week on Question Time, the camera panned round the panel and alighted on Chris Huhne sitting at the end. Before they said who he was, my immediate reaction was to wonder why Crawley Tory councillor Bob Lanzer was on Question Time.
These pictures don’t really do the comparison justice. Who-he looked much greyer on QT and I genuinely did think it was Bob for a moment (and so did Jayne).
At least I now have a handle on Chris Huhne – he is the Lib-Dem bloke who looks like Bob Lanzer – before last Thursday he didn’t register on my consciousness at all. Not an auspicious sign for a leadership contender of a national party.
