New Toy 2

Last week the fuel tank almost came off our car. Apparently this is a common problem with Lagunas. The AA strapped it up temporarily and our garage did a proper fix on it when Jayne got back to Crawley.

Unfortunately, while they were working they disconnected the battery and that reset the stereo so it won’t work without the code. Do we have the code?  Of course not.

I suppose it had to happen sooner or later. If I ever replaced the battery or took it off to charge it  I would have knackered the stereo.

I was not too upset as I have been meaning to get a CD player for the car for ages and just never got round to it, and this was the perfect excuse.

Now we have a machine that will not only play CDs but also MP3 and WMA files from a CD.  I reckon I can fit between 20 and 25 albums worth of music on one CD with WMA, which is better than having a changer in the boot.

Best of all, there is a socket in the front panel which I can plug my iRiver into and have the choice of several hundred albums to choose from – if I can get Jayne to disconnect her Creative player from it!

The MP3-player socket is quite amazingly useful, I’ve found. Being able to play literally any music file I feel like is great!
