Jayne has been paying frequent visits to our house to see how the work is going on. She is dead chuffed that we have a new kitchen (new cupboards, worktops, flooring. Still the old sink though) and with larger cupboards than before.
She is also happy that we are going to have a wooden floor in the living room and hall. I suppose I’m happy too, but not so much since I have to go out and pay for it after work today…
There is going to quite a lot of purchasing I suspect. Now that the work is done we can actually make the place decent, and that will have to include ditching my old desk – rescued from an old employer’s pile of furniture to be scrapped.
Since I have to be spending a lot I think I will fork out on some wireless networking while I am at it. Then we can share a printer and get rid of one, and share the broadband connection without having ethernet cables trailing around. I have my eye on a 54g wireless router with 4 10/100 ethernet ports and a PCI wireless adapter for Jayne’s computer. I’m sure I have a spare alias on my broadband account which she can use for her emails.
