It looks like the newspapers were right in their forecast of an Indian summer as soon an the school holidays ended. It was baking today.
My excuse for not mowing the lawn for the past few weeks has been that its raining or that the ground is still waterlogged. Today I decided that it was too hot… Maybe I’ll do it tomorrow in the evening.
I’m feeling a bit guilty that I have done nothing today beyond going into town for a late lunch, but I’m sure I’ll get over it.

Not that anyone reads all this stuff at the bottom anyway, not when there is more exciting stuff to do like watching paint dry...
