Galloway on the Frank Skinner show

October 28th, 2005 · Posted by Skuds in Politics · 1 Comment · Politics

George Galloway had a truly mixed reception on the Frank Skinner show tonight, with a few boos amongst the normal polite applause.

Obviously he spoke well and was charming – that is his talent, but I think Skinner deserves some credit for sticking to his guns and saying that his own opinion was that Tony Blair was being mislead, rather than doing the misleading over the Iraq war. Saying that to Galloway’s face and not getting into an argument about it… lets co-opt Frank Skinner to the diplomatic corps.

However he dropped a few points for not asking the really obvious question. After hearing about GG’s appearance at the Senate and his ‘sell out’ tour from Aberdeen to Plymouth via Sacramento, why did he not ask how much time George has spent in East London and Parliament – the two places his electorate might want their MP to be?

George Galloway is/was in Parliament every day. He is always doing the work of his constituency. He just refuses to vote for the government’s bill or the opposition’s amendment.
