If there is one thing we have a surplus of in Crawley it is roundabouts. I don’t mind. It makes me feel at home, having grown up in Basildon – a place so fond of the things we had one with only two exits.
They might be a pain at times, but at least they are, on the whole, well-tended and pleasantly landscaped. This one next to the town hall is a good example, although not as good as the Cheals roundabout or the Broadfield/Bewbush roundabout.
I can’t decide whether taking photos of roundabouts is more or less sad than taking photos of abandoned shopping trolleys and churches…
