I have just been watching next week’s Lost on E4 (but I will try not to give anything away) and I think I have noticed a bit of a theme running through it: fathers.
There is Michael and his son on the island, then Jack and the back story about him dobbing in his father for operating drunk. Sawyer saw his Father kill himself after he killed his wife. The story of the Korean couple Sun and Jin is all about her father, with some mention of Jin’s father too but nothing about either mother.
Mothers hardly get a look-in, but the relationship between father and child keeps coming into it.
Jayne and I keep watching because we cannot work out firstly why Hurley runs everywhere and never walks at all, but also how he maintains his impressive bulk given that he must run more miles in a day than Paula Radcliffe.
