According to this story there is to be another study on the effects of mobile phones on the health of children. Scientists in Australia are to measure effects on 300 children aged 12 and 13 for 3 years.
The only problem I can see is that a proper scientific study requires a control group, or there is no way of knowing if any effects are caused by mobile phones or by some other factor. If Australia is anything like the UK, where would they find any 12- and 13-year-olds who do not have a mobile phone to be a control group?
Far more scary is this story from Sunday’s Observer. The advice of a Swedish researcher is “you should avoid having oral sex”. Sheer scare-mongering I am sure.
