The next meeting of the Broadfield Forum is on Tuesday, January 10th 2006 at the Broadfield Youth & Community Centre. Starting time is 7:00pm.

Previous meetings have had very little representation from the Tollgate Hill area, in fact I am usually the only person there from this part of town. If there is anyone else from here – Tollgate Hill, Farnham Close, Wye Close, Hollingbourne Crescent, Hammond Road, William Morris Way, etc. at all interested, why not go along and make sure this area is not ignored.

Its a friendly meeting – no need to worry about going into a room full of strangers – but if you are at all apprehensive get in touch with me and we can go together if you want.

The other day I received a letter about this meeting which ended:

Following comments at the last meeting, I am keen to have more residents of Broadfield attend the forum meetings. If you know of anyone who would be interested, especially if they are from an area this is not currently represented, please could you extend an inviatation to them.

And thats what I am doing here!

With the letter was a copy of the minutes from the previous meeting, a card with the community wardens’ number on, and a couple of leaflets from the police with advice about mini motorcycles, which can be a particular nuisance in the Tollgate Hill area.

No agenda though. The agenda will probably be dominated by issues relating to the Barton and to areas of Broadfield North and the ‘Courts’. Tollgate Hill will not get on that agenda unless people from here start turning up and getting their voices heard.
