I was had the TV tuned to a music channel, as I often do when I am not really watching, and Kiss came on. They were performing Crazy Nights in plain clothes.
By plain clothes I mean relatively normal garments like t-shirts instead of those black and silver costumes they used to have, and they were without the cartoon make-up. On one of the crowd shots you could see kids in the audience with full Kiss make up on.
How bad must they have felt? They turn up at a concert, dressed and made up like the band only to find the band have come along dressed like they were before they went to all that effort!
I imagine the band must have had a meeting to decide it was time to dress normally so they all did it at the same time. Can you imagine the show starting and they all come onstage wearing jeans and t-shirt except the bass player who is still in full Kiss regalia? He would feel like a total cock wouldn’t he? (Good joke to play though)
