Could it be a mind-game from Pards? As in, lull them into a false sense of security on Saturday and then bring the full assault on Wednesday when they’re feeling pleased with themselves?
No, thought not.
But as far as a bad omen, the very word ‘Bolton’ seems to be a bad omen for us now. If we can scrape the draw away though, I think we can scrape the win at home. Foolishly, I am ‘believing’, which only means more heartache for me if we get spanked by them again. But NRC, Marlon, Deano and Yossi will all be starting on Wednesday and we certainly won’t be playing Anton in midfield. So I think we’ll see a very different game. I expect us to unleash some serious attacking within the first 20 minutes.
Any minute now you are gonig to start talking about the power of the Upton Park faithful being like having a twelfth player on the pitch…
I don’t want to raise my hopes too high.
