I was looking at the control panel of this server earlier, and noticed that my diskspace usage as a percentage had actually gone down. That seemd a bit strange, then I spotted that the total space had gone up from 250Mb to 500Mb.
How cool. No notice, no warning, no increase in cost, but double the diskspace 
So far I haven't even used 10Mb and that is with all the WordPress software, everything I have written, and all the photos. Its like going back in time, in the days before Windows when you could fit an operating system, application and company payroll data on a single 512Kb floppy disk. Of course the floppy disk was the size of a hockey pitch but you can't have everything can you?
This server is, of course, running the LAMP software (Linux, Apache, MySQL, php) which might explain the efficiency.
The server control panel and the hosts website do have a discrepancy about the number of e-mail addresses, redirects, auto-responders, etc. with the website advertising 500 but control panel saying 1000 available, however as I am only using a grand total of 2 so far I don't think it is going to be an issue in the near future.
