A server outage prevented me gloating more topically about West Ham ending the season with a win. With Newcastle and Bolton both winning we did not get to climb any higher up the table, but we did get the satisfaction of spoiling the end of Spurs’ season, which is reward in itself, and some measure of revenge for when they ended our last decent cup run.
I imagine that the irony of our winning goal being scored by an Israeli was not lost on many of the Spurs faithful 
OK, so they were all feeling a bit under the weather and had to, as Jayne put it, replace the sick with the lame, but a win is win and it does not detract from Fletcher’s fantastic first goal. Now there is just the small matter of the FA Cup Final to get out of the way, and with no West Ham players selected for the England squad there is nothing to prevent our lot going at it full throttle, which I’m sure they would have done anyway.
