The Internet Movie Database is a mine of information. For just about any film you can think of it lists the cast, crew, story, promotional tagline and all sort of other stuff including ‘goofs’ and ‘trivia’.
Goofs are things like anachronisms (someone wearing a watch in Gladiator), continuity errors (a 4-engine 747 taking off but a 2-engine plane landing in The Usual Suspects) or just silly things like an Imperial Stormtrooper banging his head in Star Wars or a mic boom in shot.
The details for the film Audition list the following ‘goof’
When the girl feeds the man in the bag, he uses his tongue to drink the vomit, although earlier his tongue was removed.
Under ‘trivia’ it says
When the film was screened at the Rotterdam Film Festival 2000 it had a record number of walkouts. At the Swiss premiere someone passed out and needed emergency room attention.
Just makes you want to rush out and get a copy doesn’t it?

Its brilliant. If I see a film and think I have seen an actor before, I can check em up on the Imdb. I also used it to find out about all those old imported children’s programmes from Germany that we got all those years ago. Fascinating stuff for geeks!

Erk. I missed that nice litle detail.
I think all this method acting misses the point sometimes. Its easy to look disgusted eating a bowl of vomit – the skill is in eating some cold vegetable soup and making the audience believe you are eating vomit.
It makes all the difference between a film as a demonstration of an actor’s ability and just being a freak show.
