I think I can live without Lordi ringtones. I don’t want to buy Cialis online – or even offline: I spend enough time in bed at the weekend as it is. And I have no interest in Texas hold’em poker, so I am getting a bit pissed off with the several hundred spam comments on these topics every single day.
During my frequent purging of the spam comments I noticed that the Akismet plugin says “Akismet has caught 11,495 spam for you since you installed it” and realised that it has said that for a long time and that, despite catching tons of it every day, the number is not going up.
It makes me a tiny bit worried… if that little, insignificant bit of Akismet is not working its not a problem, but what if any other part of it doesn’t work? Is there anything to worry about?
That’s an odd one. Have you tried the new version 2?
No. I think I will download that this evening and give it a try.
Maybe it will trap more comments. That would be good. It only catches 50% or less of spam at teh moment, with the rest having to be manually moderated.
I have version 2 now. I can see some cosmetic differences, but still have some issues with it.
