This blog has a new address (skuds.org) but there should not be any need for anyone to go altering bookmarks, blogrolls and address books because the old address should re-direct to here anyway.
Having said that… I am transferring the registration of the old domain during this week and it is always possible that at some point there will be a name server pointing in the wrong place for a while, but the new address should work all the time.
I won’t go into details of the reasons and the various travails of the past week or two because only an anorak with an unhealthy interest in Internet hosting would give a monkeys. Hmmm… actually that could describe a few of my regular readers: I might go into a small rant about it over the weekend.
Anyway, I’m back but perhaps not as prolifically as before. I have got out of the typing habit and enjoyed giving fuller attention to some other aspects of life so it would be difficult to slip back into compulsive blogging mode.
All I would like to say is thank you to all those people who have written asking if everything is OK and offering assistance in case I was out of my depth technically. Which I always am anyway, so I am used to it.
Anorak…unhealthy interest in Internet hosting…monkeys…Can’t think of anybody who matches this description.
Thanks for your tip-off about 123-reg by the way. It looks like it is free after all, although I expect they will charge me to re-register the domain name when it expires – and quite right too.
