Some good quotes from Lemmy in an interview in Word magazine this month, including this one where, I think, he is making up a new word:
I’ve always looked like a do-er, not a do-ee.
Also there is Lemmy showing that you can be liberal and inclusive without necessarily being politically correct:
That’s the only prejudice I’ve got. I don’t mind black people, I welcome Asiatic people, I really like all kinds of colours, I just don’t like fucking idiots.
Lemmy is another one of those old rockers that doctors and public health officials must really hate: they try to educate the public into a healthy lifestyle and promote the dangers of drugs, alcohol, and tobacco and then along comes Lemmy at age 62 after a 40-year diet of Jack Daniels and fags with a lot of amphetimines thrown in looking surprisingly well. Its a bit like 61-year-old Iggy Pop with more energy than many people half that age.
Motörhead are not my favourite band by a long way, but they are responsible the song Killed By Death. Not even in my top ten for actual songs but a real contender for best title ever. Is Lemmy officially a national treasure yet?

Maybe not a national treasure but he is getting craggy enough to be of interest to the National Trust.
