Anybody paying attention to the recent comments box to the right of this page will have seen a comment from Shirley that the plans to turn Broadfield House into flats have been submitted to the council again. The plans for conversion of the building and for ‘listed building concent’ (sic) were registered on October 2nd, and are likely to be decided by Jan 2nd.
As yet there are no drawings or other documents available online, so I don’t know if all my previous objections will still apply; let’s wait and see.

Even without seeing the documents, I can see that one thing has changed.. the postcode. The last application had Broadfield House down as RH11 9RZ but the new one has it as RH11 9RT.
How strange. Have the postcodes been re-jiggled or are the agents/architects not able to work out the postcode for a building they are working on?

9RZ is correct, according to Google Maps. 9RT is one of the offices on the road up there.

So the new plans have the wrong postcode?
Still no documents online. Of the 24 days allowed to get comments in 5 have already passed and there is nothing to comment on – not if you are in a full-time job and can’t get to the town hall to look at them.

I have heard that Broadfield House may now become a school? Can anyone tell me if this is correct?
Thanks,
Shirley
