It’s good to see that Match of the Day’s pundit Mark ‘Lawro’ Lawrenson can be as inane in writing as he is on air. He has a weekly feature on the BBC Sport website where he predicts the results for the week’s Premier League games.  For each game he gives some opinions and says what he thinks the score will be. He has to be absolutely unequivocal in predicting the actual score, but apart from that he does like to hedge his bets a bit.
This week he has surpassed himself with these comments about Stoke’s prospects against Portsmouth:
It will be interested to see how Stoke manager Tony Pulis sets up his side. He could be more attacking as he might feel his side have a chance of getting something from Fratton Park. If not, they could be quite defensive.
So Stoke are either going to be more attacking or quite defensive… do the BBC actually pay for such insight? In the words of Yosser Hughes “I could do that”.  I think that the Chelsea/Villa game is going to be a draw, unless one of them wins. Prove me wrong!
