I see that the Spotify app for the iPhone has been approved by Apple’s App Store. Less than a month after I decided, when getting a new phone, that there was nothing about the iPhone to make me want it. Never mind.
This evening I have been listening to some stuff from the recent enormous upload of new tracks on Spotify. I was listening to artists I had never heard of purely on the basis that I liked their names. Mostly electronic and mostly quite good, in fact I shall probably listen to a few more tracks from Umek, Monopolar, Scumbag Jabberjaw, John Bigbooty, Peakafeller, Frost Raven, Save the Robot, Monozoid, Kazji, I:Gor and Evol Bum Pearl.
Especially Evol Bum Pearl.
I was also pleasantly surprised to find the whole of the Duckworth Lewis Method album on Spotify, and amazed that it was so good. I am not a cricket fan, so the idea of a whole album of songs about cricket – by a couple of Irishmen – was not something I expected to enjoy quite so much.

I really like The Duckworth Lewis Method – though I do like The Divine Comedy and cricket so it was probably made with me in mind!
