To have your membership list leaked once is unfortunate.  To have it leaked twice is  just careless.  And funny.

Tainted Love

October 19th, 2009 · Comments Off on Tainted Love · Life, Music

Synth Britannia on BBC Four the other day reminded me just how bloody good some things were in the British synth-pop explosion.  Laurel and Hardy are also brilliant, so just how good would it be to combine the two?  (hat tip: glinner) You need to a flashplayer enabled browser to view this YouTube video

Death of Autotune

October 17th, 2009 · 1 Comment · Life, Music, Technology

Occam’s Razor strikes again

October 17th, 2009 · Comments Off on Occam’s Razor strikes again · Life

I mentioned my miracle mail to a colleague in Horsham today.  She happened to know that the Secretary at Hrosham, whose house it was addressed to, was in Crawley the other day.   He probably dropped the letter off at my house while he was here; that seems far more likely than any other possibility. Blind summit

October 16th, 2009 · Comments Off on Blind summit · Life

On the way to Effingham this afternoon we passed a road sign that warned of a ‘blind summit’.  I take this to mean that when you are approaching it you can’t see things coming up the other side of the hill. Am I missing something?  Isn’t that a characteristic of all hills?

Gross-out horror for the sake of it

October 16th, 2009 · Comments Off on Gross-out horror for the sake of it · Life

Earlier this week I watched Staunton Hill on DVD.  Or to use its official title “Cameron Romero’s Staunton Hill”.   I wasn’t too impressed, and was glad I got it free through Amazon’s Vine programme and didn’t part with money for it. Cameron Romero is the son of the legendary George A. Romero, who gives it […]
