Earlier today I found what has to be the bleakest, most harrowing, and depressing website in the world.  It is the result of an 18-year photographic documentary project called The Julie Project. Have a look, but don’t blame me if, afterwards, you feel that a little bit of yourself has died.

I do not normally succumb to advertising, but yesterday I clicked through one of the adverts on Spotify. It was for a company called Flowe(red).  They do flower deliveries, but unlike the other companies that do the same all profits go to the Global Fund to help eradicate AIDS in Africa.
World AIDS Day

Does anyone know if there are any events in Crawley to mark World AIDS Day this weekend? Before its implosion and demise the charity Mid-Sussex Body Positive used to organise a church service, but I have heard of nothing happening now that MSBP has gone, and a look through this list of events reveals nothing […]

Playing with the camera – 1 Halloween

I was at the Mid-Sussex Body Positive Halloween party the other night, and took a few photos for them. Well, OK, I took about 60 but I have a 256Mb memory card and the camera is still a new toy to play with. I am still at the stage where I am experimenting with different […]
AIDS day

This Wednesday was World AIDS day. This weekend there was a service at the Barn Church in Bewbush. Last year I went as one of my obligations as Deputy Mayor and, although I am not a religious person at all, I found it to be a pleasant service, and so I was looking forward to […]
