I went into the bank today to pay in the £100 cheque I received from our landlords (not good news. I was expecting £450. Must call them about that) and while I was there I used the cash machine inside the bank. The machine gave me a couple of five pound notes as part of the pile of notes. I can’t remember the last time I got a fiver out of a machine. Its always 10s and 20s only, and half the time there are no tenners so you have to put in an amount which is a multiple of 20.
Fivers are much more convenient. I shall have to use that machine again some time.
