For the last few weeks we have been suffering a plague of flies. I had expected, or hoped, that with the weather turning cold and wet they would have disappeared by now but they are still everywhere.
Whenever we have been shopping we have looked for fly spray but found none. Either the manufacturers have been caught out by the demand, or there is some stockpiling going on. I don’t know if the shops have not been getting any supplies or whether they are just getting snapped up as soon as they hit the shelves.
Today I decided to make an effort to get some and looked in both Sainsburys, Tesco, Robert Dyas and Homebase. Nothing. After I picked up the girl from her netball club I stopped at the local shops for a lottery ticket and had a look in the Londis-type shop. All their cleaning stuff is tucked away in a corner and hard to find, but I found it, and whats more found they had two tins of Raid fly spray. I decided to buy both just in case.
I can now say with some confidence that there are no flies on me!
