I am so glad the US elections are finally over, although I can’t say I am overly happy with the result: what on earth were they thinking? There is surely enough evidence that Bush is a crook and an idiot, dedicated to lining his cronies’ pockets. Obviously a large number of Americans weigh all that up against his position on gay marriage and decide to vote the way their church tells them.
I am not religious, but how can all those church elders, or whatever they are called there, reconcile what Jesus says in the bible with policies to make the poor poorer and then remove their healthcare and everything else?
If only it was just the Americans who had to live with the consequences.
