Still thinking about humour, there has often been speculation about where jokes originate, along with how they spread. Within hours of a major event, we hear jokes or receive them in text messages, but nobody ever claims to have made them up.
Well I made up a joke the other day. Nothing brilliant, and certainly nothing politically correct, but it was for my personal amusement and I enjoyed it. Today I sent it to a couple of co-workers by e-mail. I wonder if some time I will see it repeated?
There is always the possibility, of course, that someone else has come up with the same thing.
If you hear a joke about king-size Yorkie bars and Julian Clary’s cock, you know where it came from!
