I discovered one of the disadvantages of not being involved in the community centre any more – you end up with even more jobs!
Jayne is still on the management committee and went to a planning meeting about the fete the other day. I think she spent most of the time volunteering me for stuff.
First of all I have to conduct an auction. Thats OK. I knew that was likely to happen. But then she started referring to something called the ‘Amarillo March’ which sounds ominous. I tried not to listen, but it seems to involve wearing a silver sash and leading some parade to the sound of Peter Kaye & Tony Christie.
And I had been hoping for a quiet day…
I think it will be a good day to ‘forget’ the digital camera!
