There has been some comment after the bombs on Thursday about reporting by mobile phone. The general ubiquity of mobiles with cameras and video capability now means that whenever something happens it is much more likely that there will be video footage of it, even if it is grainy and poor quality.
All I know is that if I was stuck in a tube train carriage after a big bang, and was trying to get out through the smoke, noise and darkness I probably wouldn’t want to find my way blocked by someone holding up his mobile like he was in the front row at Glastonbury.
