I have been telling myself to resist the temptation to buy any of the new Doctor Who on DVD. As far as I can see they just have 3 episodes per disc and no extras at all, so I was keping my fingers crossed that they would eventually be released with all the episodes of Doctor Who Confidential as well.
And now I have found out that there will be a box set released in November – just in time for Christmas. The box is shaped like a Tardis and each episode has a full-length commentary. There are also ‘featurettes’ which I am really hoping turn out to be the Doctor Who Confidentials and a few other bits and pieces (Including some previews of series two). The whole lot is only £45 on Play.com or Amazon.
I know I am going to get this for Christmas (because I will be as subtle as a Dalek dropping hints to the Mrs) so the 6 weeks between this being released and Dec 25th are going to be very difficult. I will be seeing it on the market stall every day, but know I can’t touch it.
