I actually won something in a raffle yesterday night!
Mind you, I’m not sure that I really won it. I think it was more a case that nobody else wanted it. All the other prizes had been chosen and there was just the one left, which had been rejected by everyone, and we were asked if it was worth drawing any more numbers, since obviously nobody wanted this prize. I said that actually it was the only one I really fancied so they gave it to me rather than go through the motions of drawing numbers and having everyone turn it dowm until one of my numbers came up.
I still can’t understand why nobody else wanted a CD of Megadeth’s greatest hits, kindly donated by EMI, and how anyone could choose two tickets to Dick Whittington or a bottle of wine instead.
It was a bit of a result really. I assumed that as I have a few of their CDs already (7 studio albums and a double live album) I would already have most of the tracks, but when I was ripping to the computer for transfer to the iRiver I found that there were 7 tracks I don’t already have.
