Why change the title to that?
Well I felt like a change and that song title from Gang of Four just appealed to me. It was a toss-up between that, To Hell With Poverty, Damaged Goods and At Home He’s A Tourist and then I remembered their concert last year and how stunning ‘Essence’ was as an encore.
I always quite liked the track, but it was only when I finally heard it live by the real band (that show ten years ago with a different drummer and bass player doesn’t really count) that I realised how powerful a tune it really is.
And its a sort of placebo to satisfy my itch to change all this around, even though I have not got round to moving this all to my own domain. Until I get round to sorting that out I will have to be content with tinkering.
EDIT: this was from when I changed the old Blogger title from ‘Life in Broadfield Village’ to ‘I Found That Essence Rare’. When I moved to WordPress I left the title behind.
