Yesterday I had a total systems failure. I’m not talking about computers but about myself.
After dinner I stretched out on the sofa to unwind a bit and that was it. I fell asleep at about 8 o’clock. Once or twice I half woke up but couldn’t summon the energy to move at all. At about 2 in the morning I did manage to drag myself up to bed and then fell asleep again.
I was up today a lot earlier than is usual for a Saturday, but a much refreshed after a 12-hour sleep.
There were loads of things I wanted to do last night but I reckon I must have needed the downtime a lot more.
