That was close. In the first half West Ham looked as shaky defending corners as England were against Sweden in Germany, and only scraped by thanks to some heroic goal line clearances.
On the other hand, we had our own golden opportunity at the other end when the goalie mis-kicked the ball to Harewood and he managed to miss. How did he do that? It would have been easier to score!
No sight of Mascherano on the pitch yet, but Tevez got 30 minutes of play. He is not going to win any beauty contests (the same can be said of most of us West Ham supporters too) but he looked good on the ball today.
The game was a bit of an anticlimax, but I have a good feeling about the rest of the season.
