I forgot to mention… Jayne and I both got selected last week.
She will be standing in a ward where we really ought to win. I will be standing in the Tory heartlands again and will be lucky to get 10% of the vote. Miracles can happen, but I probably have more chance of winning the jackpot on this week’s Euromillions lottery.
And I haven’t bought a ticket.

Congratulations to your wife, bad luck on the Tory safe seat, just go house to house with as much enthusiasm as possible and I’m sure you’ll get a great result, all things considered.
Any house-to-house activity is likely to take place in wards more marginal than where I am standing.
Although I would love to get more votes I would rather help turn out 10 of our voters in a marginal ward than 50 for me.
