With every single weather forecaster predicting snow tomorrow I can't help having a small part of me expect to wake up to brilliant sunshine, but in a way I hope it does snow now that the chances are it will only add 2 minutes to my journey into work.
I am quite looking forward to getting in at 7:30 and texting all my erstwhile colleagues to find out which chilly station platform they are stuck on.
The kids are hoping for snow for the opposite reason. The other week Chrystal's school was closed because of a measly 3 or 4 centimetres so she is expecting a day off. Charlie's school was open before but this time round, because the forecasts are for an "extreme" snowfall of, ooooh, maybe 10 centimetres, they sent a letter home with all the pupils saying that if it snows tomorrow it is up to the parents whether they send the kids in.
I am already wound up for a bout of righteous indignation when the country falls to pieces due to a little bit of totally seasonal weather, so should it not snow I will feel cheated of my chance to rant and rave.

You feel cheated? We keep getting a measly dusting of snow and Kent keeps closing down…..I’m supposed to be the one getting all the snow

You won’t get snow up there – its not June yet!
