I had to smile a bit when I read David Cameron’s bit in today’s Observer. (Well.. started to read and then just skimmed to the end. There was a very clear subtext, so clear that he might just as well have written “I am not Michael Howard. I am not Michael Howard. I am not Michael Howard.” for several paragraphs.
If only he had visited the Rehmans before writing Michael Howard’s manifesto for him… but I do wonder if he would have been so keen to have such a piece in, say, the Telegraph instead of the Observer.

It was total tosh. Sucking up to middle class asians may well buy a few votes, but attacking the rest of us as you do it? Not to mention being totally blithe about the realities of religious education.
