The end of the (Premier) football season was only slightly exciting for West Ham fans. After seven of eight months lodged at number ten in the table there was a slight mathematical chance of slipping to eleventh on the last day – but only if Spurs beat Liverpool, which wasn’t going to happen was it?

Record of achievement
May 13th, 2008 · 5 Comments · Life
On Friday we went down to K2 for Thomas Bennett’s Year 11 Record of Achievement ceremony.  I had not not been to one of these before – I missed Frankie’s and Chas’s school did something in the evening which was on a much smaller scale: he did go to a much smaller school.

Fingers on buzzers, no conferring

I was at another quiz on Friday night. This one was in aid of the Crawley Community Church building fund. One of my colleagues at work is involved in the church and invited me to join his team. I may be an atheist but I’m also a quiz whore 🙂

Booze on the tube
May 7th, 2008 · 4 Comments · Politics

Expert?
May 7th, 2008 · 2 Comments · Work
I’m amazed, flattered, and gobsmacked to see myself described in the the Crawley Observer as an “IT expert”.  I suppose these things are all relative and compared to some people I might be an expert, but I work alongside some very clever types who actually deserve the description: the sort of people who can work […]
