I wonder how much thought went into naming this place? (Worthing, Aug 2008)
As the kids were both otherwise engaged today Jayne and I went out for a drive. The idea was just to get a change of scenery, and we ended up in Worthing.
We didn’t know we were going there, we were just heading South and veering West, taking the smaller roads through places like Handcross, Lower Beeding, Cowfold, Henfield and Small Dole. On the return journey we passed through a different set of villages, including Lindfield and Hassocks, and now we want to live in all of them.
It was a good day out, although we did nothing specific: just wandered around Worthing, had a Sunday roast in a pub, and took a few photos. This time I was actually taking pictures with the intention of cropping them to a 970×140 image, so there are now loads more random header images appearing above. The rain held off, but it was really windy down on the coast.
One thing I did notice though…Â not many potholes in the roads once you get outside Crawley and Horsham.
