The oxygen of publicity

April 24th, 2006 · 1 Comment · Politics

There is a big debate about how to treat the BNP, running alongside the debate about why they are getting what support they do, and how to tackle that in the longer-term.

Love Music Hate Racism

April 22nd, 2006 · Comments Off on Love Music Hate Racism · Music, Politics

Most of us will probably be busy with other things less than a week before the local elections, but there is something going on in Trafalgar Square on Saturday, April 29th from 12 noon.

Unite against fascists – some signs of life!

April 12th, 2006 · Comments Off on Unite against fascists – some signs of life! · Politics

I had a phone call this evening from a member of the Crawley Campaign Against Racism. Because of his position there, he often gets delivered stuff intended for the UAF and usually calls me about it. I thought this was going to be another of those phone calls, but it wasn’t.

I received this e-mail in the Crawley UAF mailbox today. As the Crawley UAF is still not off the ground there is not a lot I can do with it…

BNP Court Case Demo

January 16th, 2006 · Comments Off on BNP Court Case Demo · Politics

This is from an e-mail I received from the Lancaster UAF. I get these updates because I set up a website and email address for the Crawley UAF in anticipation of it getting orgaised. In the end the organisation hasn’t really formed, but the website is still there. It might be of interest to some […]

Unite against fascism

October 5th, 2004 · Comments Off on Unite against fascism · Life, Politics

Tonight I went to a meeting of the Crawley Unite Against Fascism campaign. It was like being back in the 80s – 5 lefties in a church hall putting the world to rights.
